Complaints Procedure

I would like to express my gratitude to the receptionist, Chloe. On Wednesday 30th November I rang in a bit of a panic regarding my 5 month old daughter not feeding properly. Chloe offered me an appointment for within the hour and was patient and understanding with me. After making the appointment I was able to rationalise the situation and decided it was not necessary for my daughter to see a Doctor so I rang to cancel the appointment, again speaking to Chloe. She remembered taking my initial call and was polite and caring towards me, explaining that if I felt her condition changed I could call back at any point during the day. I felt relieved by the way my call was handled and feel Chloe should be commended for her professional attitude to a difficult situation (I'm sure it must be annoying for patients to make appointments and then cancel them almost immediately but this was not portrayed in her voice or the way she dealt with my call) Thank you very much for your help :)!

Dear Nurses and Staff of Chilcompton Surgery

Considering I am currently in a good mood. I would like to take this one moment to say thank you to all the staff who have had to witness my ugly mug daily since January for a wound dressing appointments. It's not been the easiest of times for me due to the nature of the wound, but all the nurses' positivity, expertise and personalities have been brilliant. I want to thank everyone by name, but considering I am male, I do forget names easily, yet both Carole and Vicky can specifically listen to and spread the message of thanks.

I also need to thank all the reception staff and dispensers. I have sat in the waiting room and watched some people perhaps be or at least seem ungrateful and demanding with you. You do your job very professionally and in a pleasant manner. I'm sorry you've had to see my mug nearly every day and I hope that, it is now the end of me being 'ill'. I will still be coming in now and then for Mum and Dad's prescriptions however.

Also thanks for helping me understand the prescription card thing, I was terrified when I thought I would be forking £50 out per week for very large plasters......

On a serious note, I do mean this letter of thanks, even though you've probably just done your job. I know there are constraints in which you operate and you do it perfectly. The community of Chilcompton do owe you all the debt of gratitude and I am not afraid of mentioning it. If more people, can make the effort to show their thanks. Then maybe, life just gets easier.

Please keep doing what you're doing, thank you for helping me during this time, thank you for helping and supporting my parents also. Hopefully this issue never comes around, I get back in the gym and being healthy again, so you see me less and less.

All the best and see you probably sometime next week to pick up a prescription.

I just wanted to email to say how brilliant Chloe on reception is. Last Friday 28th July my doctor prescribed me some antibiotics over the phone. Unfortunately I was driving back from Nottinghamshire in rush hour and was concerned that because of traffic I would not be back before the surgery closed. Not only did Chloe ensure that she had my prescription she offered to send it to the Lloyds pharmacy in Midsomer (as it was open later and on Saturday). She even called them to ensure that they had received her fax. She really did go above and beyond to ensure that I got my prescription and I really appreciated it. Thank you so much. She's a star and deserves to be recognised for the high level of service she always gives.

I just wanted to email my thanks and praise of Nurse Wendy. I do not like having blood tests but when I saw her last Monday she was fantastic. She out me at ease and she was quick and efficient. She was very friendly and offered some excellent advice about another issue which I felt went above and beyond what she needed to do. I know that the NHS is under immense strain at the moment so I do really appreciate it. Nurse Wendy is a credit to the practice and the NHS.

Thank you!
